FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding difficult-to-weld heat-resistant steels and nickel alloys and can be used for connection of branch pipes with bottom or cover of reactor. In bottom, having allowance from inner side, through holes are made. In the holes there installed are nozzles in the form of cups with allowance along the length and seams from the pipes to the bottom are sealed from outside with sealing seams. From inside the joints between the branch pipes and the bottom are closed with a pad with a central hole to which the union is welded from outside. Butt joint with bottom is welded by argon-arc welding by end sealing seam. Prepared assembly is installed in chamber of electron-beam welding unit and air is pumped from chamber. Pin is fitted in said hole to be welded together with sleeve by electron-beam welding. After that, hot isostatic pressing of welded assembly is performed with further machining to remove said allowances.

EFFECT: improved conditions for formation of diffusion connection of branch pipe with bottom due to obtaining required compressive forces of welded surfaces by creation of rarefaction in welding zone.
