SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nutritional compositions for infants. Method for improving the health of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) of an infant, as well as increasing the number of beneficial bacteria in the infant's gastrointestinal tract involves administering a nutritional composition containing 2'-fucosyllactose, lutein and RRR-alpha tocopherol to an infant. Amount of RRR-alpha-tocopherol is at least about 3 mg/l.
EFFECT: invention improves growth and maturation of the baby's gastrointestinal tract, and also promotes healthy balance of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract and preventing intolerance of the mixture for feeding or other diseases and/or gastrointestinal disorders arising as a result of suboptimal composition/balance of gastrointestinal flora.
