FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for determination of short circuit point of contact network of electrified transport consists of sequence of operations, when at moment of short circuit voltage is measured on buses of one or adjacent traction substations, currents of all lines supplying contact networks of paths of inter-substation zone, phase angles, and values of derived parameters are calculated with due allowance for additional characteristics of the short circuit, which depend on the measured values and the supply circuit. Thereafter, the point of damage is determined by implementing a computational algorithm which determines the relationship between the distance to the point of damage from the measured and calculated derivative parameters. At the same time in advance of the short circuit, a database of calculated values of parameters of the short circuit is made for all possible versions of design circuits of power supply and sectioning of the interconnection network of the inter-station zone and possible short circuit points inside each circuit are marked, indicate on each design scheme direction of currents flowing on each section of circuit between switches, and detecting the damaged section with short circuit due to the opposite direction of currents flowing at its beginning and end, at moment of short circuit, circuit of supply and sectioning of contact network is fixed and sector and fragment are selected from base of calculated values of parameters of short circuit, which correspond to circuit of inter-substation zone at moment of short circuit. Then values for each point of short circuit of values of measured and calculated for each parameter of circuit of short circuit are compared and relative difference is determined between each measured and calculated value, and short circuit point is the short circuit point, for which the sum of relative differences of measured and calculated values of parameters of the short circuit is minimum.
EFFECT: improving accuracy and simplifying procedure of short-circuit location search in supply traction network, which leads to indication of true short circuit point, and as a result to reduction of time of search for closing point and performance of repair-restoration works.
