METHOD FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING LOWER URINARY TRACT SYMPTOMS IN FEMALES USING NORTHERN WALKING TECHNIQUE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61H1/00

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to restorative medicine, urology, gynaecology, and aims at treating and preventing the lower urinary tract symptoms in mild and moderate females. Before the beginning of treatment, a clinical examination of the patients is performed: consultation of the urologist, examination in the mirrors, uroflowmetry, ultrasonography of the urinary bladder and questioning according to the questionnaires: PFDI - 20 and PFIQ - 7. Training course explains and demonstrates the technique of Nordic walking techniques, and selects the required inventory. Duration of course is 8 weeks of sessions, including a plan of main 4-week course and further repeated course according to the plan of the second, third, fourth and again second week - cyclically, except for the first week. Classes are held 3 times a week, with the first two lessons of the main course - training. Before each session warm-up exercise is performed using sticks individually selected for Nordic walking course.

EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness, relief of lower urinary tract symptoms in females with lower front vaginal wall of mild and moderate severity that enables eliminating urine leakage on coughing, sneezing, physical activity and frequent urination.
