FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine contains a working cylinder (1) with a working piston (2), a compressor piston (15) with a compressor cylinder (12) kinematically connected to it, and a combustion chamber (5) with a spark plug (7). The annular channel (18) is made around the combustion chamber (5) and is connected to it by small channels (9). The annular channel (18) is connected to the channel (20) for supplying the air-fuel mixture from the compressor cylinder (12). Around the combustion chamber (5) there is a second annular channel (26) connected to the working cylinder (1) by two or more channels (27) spaced evenly around the circumference of the annular channel. The axes of these channels (27) are inclined towards the axis of the working cylinder (1). The second annular channel (26) is connected to the compressor cylinder (12) by an additional channel (28). The additional channel (28) is equipped with a valve (30) with a controlled drive (31) and a reed check valve (29). The channel (28) connecting the compressor cylinder (12) with the second annular channel (26) has a larger diameter than the channel (20) connecting the compressor cylinder (12) with the first annular channel (18).
EFFECT: increasing the stability of engine operation at power modes and at maximum power mode.
