ORTHOPEDIC SURGICAL INSTRUMENT SYSTEM FOR SURGICAL PREPARATION OF FEMORAL BONE OF PATIENT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/15

Abstract RU 2740729 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to components of an orthopedic prosthesis and to surgical instruments for application in the procedure of knee joint endoprosthesis replacement. System of orthopedic surgical instrument containing femoral cutting unit and displacement guide. Hip cutting unit includes slots of cutting guide. Displacement guide comprises a mounting bracket, an adapter body, an elongated shaft, a bone marrow orthopedic surgical instrument and a surgical handle. In a second embodiment, the orthopedic surgical instrument system comprises a mounting bracket, an adapter housing, an elongated shaft, a sleeve and a medullary orthopedic surgical instrument. In the third embodiment, the orthopedic surgical instrument system comprises an offset guide, including mounting bracket, adapter housing, elongated shaft and displacement indicator. Method of performing orthopedic surgical intervention involves aligning the distal end of the medullary orthopedic surgical instrument with the proximal end of the bias guide, location of connector on proximal end of biasing guide in hole formed in distal end of medullary orthopedic surgical instrument, to prevent relative rotational movement between proximal end of bias guide and bone-marrow orthopedic surgical instrument, promoting the bone-marrow orthopedic surgical instrument on top of the connector, and engagement of cartridge with medullary orthopedic surgical instrument for fixation of bone-marrow orthopedic surgical instrument to bias guide. In a second embodiment, the orthopedic surgical technique involves fixing a bias guide to a femoral cutting block, inserting an elongated shaft of a bias guide into an opening formed in a distal end of the femoral bone of the patient, wherein the elongated shaft extends along a first longitudinal axis, attaching the displacement indicator to the distal end of the bias guide, rotating the displacement indicator about a second longitudinal axis extending parallel to the first longitudinal axis and spaced therefrom, for rotation of femoral cutting unit around first longitudinal axis and determination of displacement position for femoral component of prosthesis, and attaching the medullary orthopedic surgical instrument to a bias guide so that the first longitudinal axis extends along the bone-marrow orthopedic surgical instrument. In a third embodiment, the orthopedic surgical technique involves attaching a bone-marrow orthopedic surgical instrument to a bias guide, attaching a biasing guide to a femoral cutting block, inserting a bone-marrow orthopedic surgical instrument into a hole formed in a distal end of the femoral bone of the patient, fixing the first arm of the femoral positioning unit to the femoral cutting unit, positioning the second arm of the femoral positioning unit on the proximal end of the tibial of the patient so as to form a predetermined lumen between the shin bone of the patient and the femoral cutting block, rotation of the distal end of the bias guide about the longitudinal axis, passing through the medullary orthopedic surgical instrument, to determine the displacement position for the femoral component of the prosthesis, and attaching the displacement indicator to the distal end of the bias guide.

EFFECT: use of inventions enables performing an orthopedic operation of joint endoprosthesis.
