FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, the orthopedic surgical system comprises the first surgical drill, the second surgical drill and a depth limiter. First surgical driller includes a distal end including cutting grooves, a first elongated shaft extending from the distal end, and shank, made with possibility of connection with surgical drill. First elongated shaft has the first diameter. Second surgical driller includes a distal end including cutting grooves, a second elongated shaft extending from the distal end, and shank, made with possibility of connection with surgical drill. Second elongated shaft has a second diameter that is greater than the first diameter. Depth limiter includes a central hole having a third diameter which is equal to the second diameter. Depth limiter is made with possibility of separate connection with one of the first elongated shaft and the second elongated shaft. Depth limiter includes leveling tabs extending into central hole, and each pair of opposite aligning tabs forms a width, which is smaller than first diameter of first surgical drill. In each of the first elongated shaft and the second elongated shaft there are longitudinal grooves formed, and each longitudinal groove has dimensions, enabling reception of one of leveling tabs of depth limiter. Proposed surgical system comprises surgical drill, including distal end including cutting grooves, an elongated shaft extending from the distal end, and a shank that can be connected to the surgical drill. Elongated shaft comprises longitudinal slots and holes formed in base surface of one of longitudinal slots, and depth limiter, which includes central hole, having dimensions, which enable to receive elongated shaft, plate, made with possibility of movement and separate engagement of each hole for fixation of depth limiter in position along elongated shaft, and aligning tabs extending into central hole and arranged to be arranged in elongated surgical drill holes. Method of orthopedic surgical operation includes: alignment of central hole of depth limiter with elongated shaft of first surgical drill, movement of the depth limiter along the elongated shaft for arrangement of the leveling tabs of the depth limiter in longitudinal slots formed in the elongated shaft, fixing of depth limiter in position along elongated shaft, and advancing the first surgical driller into the guide body for engaging the depth gauge with the guide body and forming a patient's bore.
EFFECT: inventions are aimed at preparation of passage in bone of desired depth and diameter.
