SUBSTANCE: invention relates to absorbent product (1) having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction and comprising upper sheet (2), fluid-permeable backsheet (2), fluid-impermeable backsheet (3) and absorbent core (4), enclosed between upper sheet (2) and rear sheet (3) and having in longitudinal direction front part (8), rear part (9) and crotch portion (10) between front part (8) and rear part (9), wherein absorbing core (4) has two lateral zones (4d, 4e) passing in longitudinal direction, and extending in longitudinal direction central zone (4a) between said side zones (4d, 4e). Central zone (4a) and lateral zones (4d, 4e) are spaced apart in transverse direction by means of channel zones (4b, 4c) passing in longitudinal direction. Besides, width (w) of central zone (4a) in transverse direction is less than width (w_s) of each of lateral zones (4d, 4e) in transverse direction, at least in front part (8) and rear part (9), and channel zones (4b, 4c) have smaller surface density than side zones (4d, 4e) and central zone (4a). Invention also relates to absorbent core (4) and method of producing said absorbent product (1).
