FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing nanoparticles of tantalum oxide and can be used in chemical-pharmaceutical industry. Nanoparticles of tantalum oxide TaOx, where x ranges from 1 to 2.5, with particle size of 2-6 nm, are obtained in the form of an alcohol dispersion. In an inert gas atmosphere, tantalum ethylate is mixed with isopropyl or propyl alcohol and the mixture is held for 10-12 hours at temperature of 200-220°C.
EFFECT: obtaining small-size particles with narrow particle size distribution without use of a toxic solvent, as well as shorter duration of the process.
