METHOD FOR COMPLEX REHABILITATION OF UPPER EXTREMITY MOTOR FUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH INFANTILE CEREBRAL PARALYSIS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2741221 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology and paediatrics, and concerns rehabilitation of motor function of upper limb in patients with infantile cerebral paralysis (ICP). For this purpose, the background of a standard sanatorium-and-spa treatment is supplemented with extra training of the paretic extremity using the Exoquist-2 complex and administering the cerebrolysin with a neurotrophic preparation. Preparation is introduced in dose of 2.0 ml intramuscularly with course of 10 injections daily in morning 30 minutes before the beginning of the training. Patients aged 17–18 years are training 14 times daily. Each training includes 5 sessions with duration of 10 minutes with rest break for 5 minutes. Patients aged 14-16 years old are training 10 times daily. Each training includes 3 sessions. Length of session is 5 minutes with 10 minutes of rest.

EFFECT: method provides more effective rehabilitation of motor function of upper extremity in ICP patients, reduced spasticity of hand muscles, increased muscular force and volume of hand movements.
