FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to vascular surgery, and can be used for identification of poplar vascular complex of popliteal region. That is ensured by ultrasonic duplex angioscanning. Varicose veins are visualized in V-mode at the epi-fascial level. Linear sensor is made in the popliteal area along the middle line. Point of the perforating vein into the popliteal vein is determined. Linear sensor is placed 1.5 cm outside of the median line and 2 cm above the level of the knee joint slot. Then, the arterial branch is identified. Convection sensor is used to identify a source of the given arterial branch, which is placed at the level of the knee joint slot, 1.5 cm outside of the median line of the popliteal region. Examination is carried out in color Doppler imaging modes, followed by spectral Doppler sonography.

EFFECT: invention allows identifying the perxtonous vascular complex of popliteal region by means of ultrasonic duplex angioscanning.
