FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Internal combustion engine (1) comprises piston (11), crankcase (3), at least one cylinder and solid or composite annular sliding element (19), (25). Cylinder housing forms guide for piston (11), which is connected with cylinder. Cylinder housing is only partially formed by cylindrical wall (7) of crankcase (3) or cylinder sleeve (5) secured to crankcase (3). Casing of cylinder in central area, if viewed in axial direction of cylinder, is formed by cylindrical wall (7). Cylindrical wall (7) in upper area (15) of cylinder body, adjoining central area (13) upwards, and/or in lower area (22) of the body of the cylinder adjoining central area (13) downwards, has female understating (17), (23), passing in circumferential direction of cylinder. Lowering (17), (23) comprises integral or composite annular sliding element (19), (25), radial inner wall (21), (27), which forms part of cylinder body. Annular sliding element (19), (25) is coated on inner side with sliding facilitating coating. Cylindrical wall (7) in upper and/or lower area of cylinder body is not provided with friction-reducing coating to reduce friction between cylinder and piston (11). Annular sliding element (19), (25) is equipped with sliding-promoting coating before it is inserted into lowering (17), (23).
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of friction between cylinder body and connected piston or piston rings of piston.
