FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: method of random access comprises the following steps: determination by the first device of the first set of main parameters to be used by the first message, transmitted during random access procedure; and transmitting, using first set of main parameters of first message to second device, wherein the first set of main parameters is determined according to the frequency range of the frequency domain resource to be used when transmitting the first message, and matching between at least one frequency band and at least one set of main parameters, wherein the first message is MSG2 or MSG4.
EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of terminal device flexible implementation of random access procedure.
