SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the biotechnology. Described is a modified haemagglutinin (HA) of influenza virus for inclusion in a virus-like particle (VLP), wherein the modified influenza virus HA contains a completely deleted proteolytic loop between subunits of HA1 and HA2, wherein the completely deleted deletion proteolytic loop contains a monobasic or multibasic cleavage site. Also described is a modified haemagglutinin (HA) of influenza virus for inclusion in a virus-like particle (VLP), in which the proteolytic loop between subunits of HA1 and HA2 is substituted with a linker sequence. Presented is a virus-like particle (HPV) of influenza for inducing an immune response to influenza virus infection containing one of the described modified HA and methods for preparing it. Presented are compositions for inducing an immune response to influenza virus infection. Described is a plant material for producing a virus-like particle (HPV) of influenza.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at inducing immunity to infection with influenza virus in a subject.
