FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an accelerator control method. Accelerator is supplied with current generating magnetic field causing rotation of charged particles in main accelerator in compliance with charged particles energy acceleration in several deflecting electromagnets based on command signal of current value. Forming of flat section determining current value of deflecting electromagnet is provided in case of accelerating cycle including emission of charged particles into beam transportation system, and non-formation of flat section in command signal of current value in case of accelerating cycle, not including emission of charged particles into beam transportation system. At that time value is smoothed over time value at current transition to flat section or at transition from flat section. Determination of time required for smoothing is performed based on specified energy of charged particles extraction or difference between energies before and after change to preset extraction energy.

EFFECT: enabling generation of subsections of energy types for extraction of charged particles only by an accelerator and reduction of the acceleration cycle for reducing the length of treatment.
