SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics, and can be used for determining the type of gastric cancer by Lauren classification by computed tomography (CT). CT examination of the stomach is performed with an intravenous bolus introduction of the contrast preparation into the arterial, portal and delayed scanning phases with the gas mixture intake. Obtained images are examined and the type of cancer is determined depending on the diagnostic symptoms of the analyzed CT image. In tuberous CT-type, characterized by abdominal growth with clear contours and intraluminal tumor component, enteric type of cancer according to Lauren classification is determined. In an intramural CT-type, characterized by intra-wall tumor infiltration with fuzzy outlines, repeating the relief of folds of the gastric mucosa, without tubercle growths and without intraluminal tumor component, diffuse type of cancer by Lauren is determined. In mixed CT-type, characterized by simultaneous presence of symptoms of intramural and tubercle CT-types, additionally determining difference of densitometric values of density in delayed and portal phases and at difference of density less than 0 HU exclude enteric type of cancer by Lauren, with difference more than 10 HU exclude diffuse type of cancer by Lauren.

EFFECT: method provides the Lauren classification of stomach cancer due to CT-criteria.
