FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for in vitro determination of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in a biological sample isolated from an individual and determination of the resistance of the specified Hp to clarithromycin, including amplification of at least one part of at least one Hp gene containing at least one site of the mutation responsible for clarithromycin resistance, where the above-noted mutation is selected from A2143G, A2142C and A2142G for the 23S rRNA gene. A kit is proposed for determining Hp in a fecal sample isolated from an individual and determining the resistance of this Hp to clarithromycin caused by a mutation of 23S rRNA gene selected from the group consisting of A2143G, A2142C and A2142G.
