FIELD: fire-fighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems of monitoring and prevention of peatland fires at any time of the year allowing for specification of location and area of the fire and may be used in centralized municipal and regional call centers as well as the homeland security system. Apart from the abovementioned, the invention may be used by sub-divisions of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for tactical response to possible emergencies on peatlands and for mapping the current condition of peatbogs. Presented is a method of detection of peatland fires comprised of measurement of temperature and humidity within the peatland at 1 m depth in the peatbog, wherein the temperature and humidity detectors are attached to an optic fibre cable and arranged in a circle or depending on the shape of the bog configuring to alternate the detectors. Signals about exceeding temperature and humidity parameters are received by the control apparatus and the unit for the current status of temperature and humidity parameters which stores the detector status in a connecting cabinet. Then the control apparatus generates a coded message about the excess and transmits it via a transmitter to the cellular channel to the centralized call center, wherein the detectors are configured to emit the signal about the excess when the temperature rises to 60°C and the humidity lowers to 30%. A group from the Ministry of Emergencies with an unmanned aircraft is formed to determine the exact location and area of the pleatland fire, the group conducting analysis of the location of the triggered detectors that showed the deviation by arriving to the pleatland, thus providing control of the area of the fire.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of control of the area of a fire.
