FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics, as well as to abdominal surgery and gastroenterology. X-ray diagnosis of axial hernia of oesophageal opening of diaphragm is performed. Depending on X-ray examination, hernias are divided into 3 prolapse subgroups: A subgroup - prolapse into posterior mediastinal less than half of folds of gastric mucosa, B-subgroup - prolapse into posterior mediastinum half of folds of gastric mucosa, C-subgroup - prolapse into posterior mediastinum more than half of folds of mucous arch or whole arch of stomach. A-subgroup shows conservative treatment; the B-subgroup shows delayed surgical management; the C-subgroup of prolapse shows only the surgical treatment.
EFFECT: method enables determining a degree of prolapse of axial hernia of the oesophageal opening of the diaphragm, more accurate determination of the degree of hernia of the oesophageal opening of the diaphragm in X-ray examination with contrast, screening of patients in need of surgical management, as well as predicting the state of patients by X-ray pattern.
