The invention consists of the first cap member that is connected with a dummy bar of a glass preform; the second cap member that covers the tapered portion of the glass preform and the first cap member; a separating member that is disposed between the first cap member and the second cap member, supporting the second cap member, and which adjusts, by means of a positioning device, the height position of the second cap member in the axial direction, forcing the lower end of the second cap member to be close to the tapered portion; and a sealing member that provides a seal between the open top end section and the glass preform and / or the second cap member.

EFFECT: clogging the gap between the upper end hole of the optical fiber drawing oven and the glass preform of the optical fiber, in which the dummy rod and the tapered part are present in its upper part.
