SUBSTANCE: polarization-modulation radio beacon system for measuring the aircraft roll angle contains a radio beacon that includes a transmitter (1) and a transmitting antenna (2) located at a point with known coordinates. On board the aircraft, the system contains a receiving antenna (3), a polarization plane rotator (4) made in the form of a rotating section of a circular waveguide with a half-wave phase plate mounted inside, a linear polarizer (5), a master oscillator (6), a synchronous stepping micromotor (7), logarithmic receiver (8), balanced detector (9), angular position sensor (10), bandpass filter (11), reference signal generation unit (12), phase detector (13), aircraft roll angle indicator (14).

EFFECT: increased accuracy of roll angle measurement.
