FIELD: medical biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical biotechnology and represents a method of storing isolated viable embryonic brain cells by isolating them and placing them in a storage environment. The isolated cells from the brain are transferred to a storage medium made of the following components: 0.25 ml of glutamine (200 mM, GlutaMAX, Gibco, UK), 2 ml of B27 supplement (50x, Gibco, UK), 97.75 ml of a neurobasal medium (Neurobasal@-A medium CTS, Gibco by life technology, USA). After that the cells are placed in a refrigerator at a temperature of 4°C and stored for up to 7 days without loss of the number and functional properties of cells and then up to 10 or more days with a gradual decrease in these indicators.
EFFECT: invention allows expanding the range of technical means for long-term storage of isolated viable embryonic brain cells while maintaining their morphological and functional properties and reducing the number of laboratory animals used for experiments.
