SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in equipment, the surfaces of which interact with emulsions of water and oil and oil products. The surface of pipes and equipment in contact with emulsions of water and oil and oil products has at least a part of the surface that is made non-wettable for deposits of oil and oil products. The surface that is non-wettable for deposits of oil and oil products has an open-pored hydrophilic structure, which ensures the retention of water in open pores, which have a capillary effect in relation to water. The open pores of the equipment surface are filled with water. At least 90% of the surface pores have a diameter in the range from 0.35 nm to 50 microns.

EFFECT: increasing the service life of surfaces by creating a constantly renewed liquid protective layer on the surfaces of pipes and equipment.
