FIELD: sterilization.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sterilization of objects with ultraviolet radiation. A device for sterilizing an object with a surface area of not more than s includes a chamber with an entrance for placing an object in a chamber, which is closed during sterilization of an object, and at least one source of bactericidal radiation located in the chamber. In this case, essentially the entire inner surface of the chamber is made diffusely reflecting bactericidal radiation, and the area of the inner surface of the chamber S is related to the surface area of the sterilized object by the ratio S (1-R) ≥s, R is the effective reflection coefficient of bactericidal radiation on essentially the entire inner surface of the chamber.
EFFECT: invention provides increased quality and uniformity of sterilization of the entire surface of an object with bactericidal radiation, ability to provide sterilization of objects of a wide range of sizes in a short time, as well as ability to quickly process large objects of a rather complex shape.
