FIELD: radiation dosimetry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radiation dosimetry. The method for measuring the intensity of ionizing radiation using a dosimetric device on a Geiger-Muller gas-discharge counter additionally contains the stages at which, after registering the ionizing particle, the supply voltage at the anode of the counter is turned off for a fixed time interval sufficient to complete the transient processes in the counter, after which the supply voltage is applied to counter, and the radiation intensity is estimated by the ratio of the number of registered pulses to the total time during which the supply voltage is applied to the counter.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing reliability of measurements of the intensity of ionizing radiation.
