FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely, to a composition for use in destroying and eliminating bacteria in a biofilm and for preventing the formation of a biofilm, including the first component, selected from a group consisting of chitosan, chitin, chitosan derivatives, chitin derivatives and any combination thereof; tribasic acid and solvent acid, wherein the tribasic acid is present in an amount of at least 10% by weight of the first component, with the tribasic acid being citric acid and the solvent acid being lactic acid, and also realtes to the wound dressing and to the method of preparing the composition for use in destroying and eliminating bacteria in the biofilm and to prevent the formation of a biofilm comprising the first component, selected from a group consisting of chitosan, chitin, chitosan derivatives, chitin derivatives and a combination thereof; tribasic acid and solvent acid, wherein the tribasic acid is present in an amount of at least 10% by weight of the first component, with the tribasic acid being citric acid and the solvent acid being lactic acid, wherein the method comprises the steps of: a) coating at least part of the first component with a mixture including citric acid and lactic acid; and/or b) absorption in at least part of the first fibrous component of a mixture including citric acid and lactic acid.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides obtaining improved agents to destroy and eliminate bacteria in the biofilm, as well as to prevent biofilm re-formation, while the agents are characterized by increased antimicrobial efficacy.
