FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for treatment, sorting, and recycling of an oil-containing discharged catalyst, comprising the following stages: (A) cyclone washing with a solvent and activation of the discharged catalyst in the stream: asphaltenes, resins and heavy aromatics contained in the discharged catalyst are cyclone washed to achieve catalyst activation in a stream wherein the cyclone washing is based on a "like dissolves like" principle and gasoline, diesel or an organic solvent similar to the asphaltenes, resins and heavy aromatics contained in the discharged catalyst, is used as a solvent; (B) distillation of the solvent from the catalyst during cyclone rotation: the catalyst particles obtained at stage (A) are subjected to enhanced distillation at a high temperature during gas cyclone rotation to remove the solvent entrained by the catalyst; (C) sorting the high-activity catalyst by acceleration in the gas stream: the high-activity catalyst particles are sorted from the catalyst obtained at stage (B) based on the kinematic law whereby the high-activity catalyst and the low-activity catalyst have different resulting pulse directions of displacement in the field of the pulsating gas stream due to the difference in the particle density thereof; (D) re-distillation in the cyclone and collecting the high-activity catalyst particles: the high-activity catalyst particles discharged with the gas stream after sorting at stage (C) are subjected to additional enhanced solvent distillation during cyclone rotation simultaneously collecting the catalyst particles in the cyclone for high-activity catalyst particle recycling; and (E) cooling the gas and removing the solvent by condensation: after collecting in the cyclone at stage (D), the gas stream is cooled and the entrained solvent is condensed resulting in clean gas for circulation. The invention also relates to an apparatus for application in the described method.
EFFECT: development of an efficient, sustainable, energy-conserving, easy to use method and a corresponding apparatus for treatment of an oil-containing discharged catalyst.
