BIOPROSTHETIC AORTIC VALVE (VARIANTS) FOR OPEN NON-SUTURE AND TRANSCATHETER IMPLANTATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61F2/24

Abstract RU 2749118 C1

FIELD: medicine and medical technology.

SUBSTANCE: bioprosthetic aortic valve is comprised of a self-expanding support frame, a lining, a valved apparatus and a cuff mounted on the frame. The support frame is comprised of a distal, middle and proximal areas. The proximal area of the support frame has the spatial shape of a truncated cone. The middle area of the support frame is the upper base of the truncated cone conjugated with the cuff-forming chambers. The distal area of the supporting frame with the height of 14 to 20 mm is formed by three commissural columns. Three fastening elements are made between the tops of the commissural columns: open petaloidal chambers conjugated with the columns, symmetrical relative to the central axis of the bioprosthetic valve and bent outward towards the proximal area. An alternative variant of implementation of a bioprosthetic valve and variants of a method of use of a bioprosthetic valve for open non-suture and transcatheter implantation are disclosed.

EFFECT: provided is use of a bioprosthetic valve for both transcatheter and open non-suture replacement of an unfit aortic valve, reduced duration and invasiveness of intervention.
