SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for encoding and decoding audio scenes. Basic encoding of at least two component signals is performed. The basic encoding includes the formation of the first encoded representation for the first fragment of at least two component signals and the formation of the second encoded representation for the second fragment of the mentioned at least two component signals. The basic encoding contains the formation of a time frame from the mentioned at least two component signals. The first frequency subband of the time frame of the mentioned at least two component signals is the first fragment, and the second frequency subband of the time frame is the second fragment. The basic encoding also contains the formation of the first encoded representation for the first frequency subband and the formation of the second encoded representation for the second frequency subband.

EFFECT: increased encoding efficiency.
