FIELD: screening.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to filtration devices, particularly to application of improved sieve baskets used in methods and systems for sorption of metals from metallic ore, and can also be implemented in use of coal in pulp (CIP), coal in alkali (CIL) and resin in alkali (RIL) systems. An apparatus in form of a sieve basket is comprised of a substantially vertical cylindrical lattice frame with multiple holes, a first collecting sieve with a first surface located outside of the lattice frame and containing holes between about 35 microns and about 4000 microns in size, and a second collecting sieve with a second surface located outside of the lattice frame and containing holes between about 35 microns and about 4000 microns in size. The lattice frame contains multiple lateral elements and multiple longitudinal elements limiting multiple holes. The first and the second collecting screens are configured to separate coal or tar from suspended coal in pulp (CIP), coal in alkali (CIL) or resin in alkali (RIL) material during a flow of a fluid from the outside relative to the apparatus in form of a sieve basket into the apparatus in form of a sieve basket due to the difference in static pressure between the fluid outside and the fluid inside of the apparatus in form of a sieve basket so that the coal or the tar is retained on the outer surfaces of the first and the second surfaces. The screening apparatus configured to screen the material is comprised of a reservoir containing suspended coal in pulp (CIP), coal in alkali (CIL) or resin in alkali (RIL) material, a sieve basket located in the reservoir in a fixed vertical position and configured to separate the descent material from the sifting material during the flow of the suspension from the outside into the sieve basket, and a polyurethane sieve attached to the support frame of the sieve basket. The polyurethane sieve forms a screening surface facing outward from the sieve basket, and is configured to separate coal or tar from the suspension during the flow of fluid from the outside of the sieve basket into the sieve basket, due to the difference in static pressure so that the coal or the tar from the suspension is retained on the screening surfaces of the polyurethane sieve.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of coal or tar screening and increased wear resistance.
