METHOD FOR INDIVIDUAL PLANNING OF TRANS-BROW SUPRAORBITAL ACCESS TO M1-SEGMENT BIFURCATION ANEURYSMS OF MIDDLE CEREBRAL ARTERY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2750108 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: virtual 3D model is created. The length of the M1 segment of the middle cerebral artery (hereinafter – MCA) is determined. If the length of the M1 segment of the MCA is more than 20 mm, it is impossible to use a trans-brow supraorbital access. If the length of the M1 segment of the MCA is 15-20 mm, it is possible to use a supraorbital trans-brow access with an estimate of the brow length and additional lateralization of the skin incision with traction of the upper wound edge in the lateral direction. If the length of the M1 segment of the MCA is less than 15 mm, it is possible to use a supraorbital trans-brow access.

EFFECT: method allows for individual planning of trans-brow supraorbital access to the M1-segment bifurcation aneurysms of the MCA, and reducing the traumatism of access.
