FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bottom blowing of liquid metal by inert gas in ladle. Device comprises a socket unit with tuyeres fitted therein with individual gas feed tubes, at that, in the socket unit there are two or more tuyeres with provision of the gas stream during all the blowdown period, at that all tuyeres have open working surfaces, which levels are deviated from the level of the working surface of the socket unit, and the distance between the larger bases of the tuyeres is less than the diameter of these bases. Cross-sectional shape of the seat unit is made as a circle, a square, an ellipse, an oval with one or several waists, an angle or some part of the ring.
EFFECT: invention increases service life of the device, reduces consumption of refractory materials and increases intensity of mixing of metal and slag.
