FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, particularly, to a method for arthroscopic prosthetics of the anterior cruciate ligament of the stifle joint in a dog. The method is characterised by the fact that arthroscopy of the stifle joint is performed from the side of the tibial plateau, the center for the tunnels is determined and through tunnels are formed in the distal femur and the proximal tibia. In the sagittal plane, the tunnel in the proximal tibia is formed at an angle "a" in the range from 40 to 60 degrees to the surface of the tibial plateau, the tunnel in the distal femur is formed at an angle "b" in the range from 30 to 60 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the femur. In the frontal plane, the tunnel in the distal femur is formed at an angle "c" in the range from 30 to 60 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the femur, the tunnel in the proximal tibia is formed at an angle "d" in the range from 20 to 35 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the tibia. An alloprosthesis in form of a cord is installed in the tunnels, the extra-articular parts whereof are stretched to the tension of the intra-articular part of the alloprosthesis followed by fixation to the femur and tibia. The alloprosthesis therein is comprised of polyester threads, forming a fibrous structure, and has a diameter corresponding with the removed ligament, wherein the extra-articular part of the alloprosthesis is comprised of transversely twisted longitudinal fibres, and the intra-articular part is comprised of non-interconnected longitudinal fibres.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows to ensure stability of the stifle joint and to avoid ligament friction.
