SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an optical sensor device for determining the distance to an object and the speed of an object and for recognizing the shape and structure of an object and a method for determining the distance to an object and the speed of an object and for recognizing the shape and structure of an object. The sensor device contains optically coupled at least one source of laser radiation, at least one optical collimating means, beam splitting means, reflective means, optical means for directing the beam and at least one detector for recording radiation reflected from the object, as well as a controller, when each of the at least one source of laser radiation with the corresponding at least one detector form at least one individually functioning and individually adjustable measuring channel with the possibility of providing characteristic data about the object, the controller is configured to ensure the simultaneous or selective operation of the said measuring channels and the operational regulation of the radiation parameters of at least one laser radiation source, depending on the required spatial resolution of the object position during the operation of the device, and processing and analysis of the characteristic data of the object recorded on at least one detector for simultaneously determining the distance to the object and its speed, and recognizing the shape and structure of the object.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at ensuring the operation of the sensor device at short distances (1-10 m), determining the distance to stationary and moving objects, determining the speed, shape and structure of the object. Also, improving the reliability of functioning and manufacturability of the lidar, as well as reducing the influence of external noise.
