SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, and is intended for treatment of discoid meniscus injuries in children. Partial resection of the discoid meniscus is performed until the semilunar shape of the meniscus is obtained. Sutures are staggered in 0.5 cm increments perpendicular to the rupture line so that one stitching needle passes through the meniscus tissue and through the gap, and the second stitching needle passes through the joint capsule and intact meniscus tissue.

EFFECT: method allows preserving the congruence of the articular surfaces with reliable fixation of the rupture and excluding the eruption of sutures during the surgical treatment of the discoid meniscus of I-II types in children, due to which the preservation of the depreciation and stabilizing function of the meniscus is achieved, as well as creating conditions for the complete restoration of the meniscus to a normal state due to suturing, taking into account the direction of the collagen fibers in the superficial part of the meniscus.
