FIELD: conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: belt conveyor (1) contains infinite belt loop (3) that rotates around two pulleys (5a, 5b), frame (9) holding two pulleys (5a, 5b), and belt support device (11). Belt (3) contains essentially flat middle part (13) along the length of the belt and two edge areas (13a, 13b), by one on each side of middle part (13), wherein one of edge areas (13a, 13b) is tilted to the opposite part of the belt in an infinite loop, when one edge area (13a, 13b) forms a part of the upper surface of the belt.

EFFECT: two or more belt conveyors according to the invention can be installed side by side, providing a combined large upper surface instead of using a single large belt conveyor.
