FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics. Echocardiography skills are trained using simulation techniques, including development of echocardiographic studies on a Vimedix simulator. Skill is developed by repeated repetition of mechanical actions in certain specified sequence at using following accesses: parasternal access long axis, parasternal access short axis at level of aortic root, parasternal access, a short axis at the level of the mitral valve, parasternal access a short axis at the level of the papillary muscle heads, apical approach, a four-chamber position, an apical approach, a five-frame position, an apical approach, a two-chamber position, suprasternal approach, subcostal approach using longitudinal and short axes. Image of structures with an anatomical image is compared on a back-up screen. Skill is considered mastered under condition of carrying out of the main measurements, identification of a pathology of the heart and formation of conclusion within - 45 minutes without using Doppler and 60 minutes with using Doppler.
EFFECT: method allows for 16 academic hours to learn how to obtain an image on a screen, to recognize a norm and the most frequent pathological conditions, which further reduces the analysis time.
