ROBOTIC COMPLEX FOR UNMANNED ERECTION OF STRUCTURES/SHELTERS ON THE MOON Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B64G99/00

Abstract RU 2751836 C1

FIELD: building.

SUBSTANCE: robotic complex for unmanned erection of structures/shelters on the Moon includes a stationary module formed by a landing stage of a spacecraft with communication systems installed thereon, a solar power plant with a charging station for power supply of the complex and for recharging the accumulator batteries of the mobile module of the complex, a stationary excavation and transport system with a penetration bucket driven by a vibrator and a vibration transport system of articulated trays redirecting regolith supplied from the penetration bucket into a photothermal unit. The robotic complex also includes a solar power plant, a solar concentrator, a light guide system and a mobile manipulator robot on a highly mobile chassis. The mobile robot performs actions of movement of the elements of stationary systems of the complex and assembly thereof, and moves the photothermal unit during erection of solid load-bearing elements of the walling of the structure/shelter. The light guide system supplies concentrated sunlight to the photothermal unit and exposes a dosed regolith flow resulting in a synthetic mineral alloy extruded from the thermal chamber of the photothermal unit into the body of the protective structures, or the regolith is supplied directly into the body of the walling and is sintered under the impact of a stream of concentrated light. As a result of replacing the range of autonomous mobile building equipment of traditional designs by a stationary excavation and transport system with an attached photothermal unit, the weight and dimensions of the equipment delivered to the Moon are significantly reduced and the level of complexity of controlling the process of erecting structures/shelters on the Moon is reduced.

EFFECT: ensured executability of solving the problem of unmanned erection of structures/shelters for personnel of lunar expeditions, life support systems and scientific and/or manufacturing equipment on the Moon by means of providing the possibility of delivering building equipment to the Moon with one start of a space transport system.
