FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method for preserving urine as a drinking water source by collecting urine, preserving it by adding a preservative containing oxidising agents, including an 11% solution of chromium oxide CrO3 in acid to the freshly collected urine, followed by physical and chemical purification of the resulting mixture, wherein a preservative composition is added to the urine at a ratio of 200:1, wherein the composition contains a 0.5% solution of plumbagin in trichloroacetic acid C2 HCl3O2 as a preservative, and a 11% solution of chromium oxide (CrO3) in sulfuric acid H2SO4 as an oxidising agent, wherein the preservative and the oxidising agent in the composition are at a ratio of 1:9.

EFFECT: invention allows improving efficiency of the process of preservation of urine as a drinking water source.
