FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, it is uricase monomer containing: (a) amino acid sequence having at least 95% identity of amino acid sequence represented in SEQ ID NO: 1 and containing two cysteine residues in the positions 11 and 33, where the position numbering is given relatively to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 27; (b) two molecules of polyethylene glycol (hereinafter PEG), where each PEG is conjugated with each cysteine residue; (c) deletion of threonine residue in the position 2, where the position numbering is given relatively to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 27; and (d) C-end truncation relatively to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 27, where the specified truncation eliminates C-end cysteine residue present in SEQ ID NO: 27 and where the specified uricase retains enzymatic activity. Invention also concerns a pharmaceutical composition for reducing levels of uric acid in patient with hyperuricemia containing effective amount of uricase monomer according to the invention.
EFFECT: invention allows effective reducing the level of uric acid in patients with hyperuricemia.
