METHOD FOR CATARACT PHACOEMULSIFICATION USING VACUUM PULSATION AND ULTRASONIC VIBRATIONS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61F9/00 A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2752513 C1

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology in particular.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. The main incision, corneal paracentesis and opening of the anterior capsule are performed by the method for continuous circular capsulorexis. After that, the tip of the phacoemulsifier working tool is brought to the lens through the main incision to remove cataracts and the phacoemulsifier pedal is pressed to activate one of the modes of vacuum pulsation of the aspiration line. Simultaneously with the activation of the vacuum pulsation mode in the aspiration line, ultrasonic vibrations are applied to the end part of the tip during the removal of a high-density cataract. At the same time, to remove a cataract of the 3rd degree of density, an algorithm is used for pairing vacuum pulsation with ultrasound 4/1, where three waves of vacuum pulsation pass without ultrasound, and at the peak of the vacuum of the fourth wave, an ultrasound pulse is applied. To remove cataracts of the 4th degree of density, the algorithm of coupling of vacuum pulsation and ultrasound 2/1 is used, where every second wave of vacuum pulsation passes with ultrasound pulses. To remove cataracts of the 5th degree of density, an algorithm is used for coupling vacuum pulsation with ultrasound 1/1, where each wave of vacuum pulsation passes with an ultrasound pulse. Switching modes of vacuum pulsation in the aspiration line is carried out by changing the depth of pressing the phacoemulsifier pedal.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the destructive effect of vacuum pulsation due to the pulse-time coupling of vacuum pulsation with ultrasound to reduce the severity of the phenomenon of "repulsion".
