FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. An ophthalmological fragmentator, including an irrigation line in communication with a working tool with a tip in the form of a hollow needle, an aspiration line communicated with the working tool, made in the form of a rigid silicone tube, mounted whereto are a vacuum relief valve and a pressure sensor used for continuous monitoring and evaluation of the level of vacuum in the aspiration line, as well as an aspiration pump communicated with the aspiration line. The ophthalmological fragmentator is equipped with a vacuum pulsation generator including a high vacuum pump communicated with a high vacuum tank communicated with the aspiration line through a valve on a section of the aspiration line. Said valve and vacuum relief valve are therein configured to control the automation unit for occurrence of vacuum pulsations with a stepped ascension and vacuum relief.
EFFECT: application of the invention provides a possibility of increasing the destructive ability with respect to a cataractally altered lens, accelerating the aspiration of the vitreous body and other fluids during vitrectomy, reducing the probability of rapid changes in the intraocular pressure, and reducing the effect of the weakened pull of lenticular fragments to the tip of the working tool at the time of vacuum relief.
