FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a method for making a tourniquet, characterised by making a tourniquet consisting of an elastic tourniquet cloth and a buckle. The buckle is made in form of a frame with two longitudinal bars, two transverse bars and a crossbar, as well as two protrusions. The crossbar is equipped with two slotted holes for pulling the elastic band through said holes. Two additional protrusions with blunt ends are made on the crossbar between the protrusions. The protrusions are positioned close to the main protrusions so that a gap is made between the main and the additional protrusions, wherein the tourniquet is freely insertable through said gap.

EFFECT: reduced possibility of getting injured by the protruding protrusion (hook).
