FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to devices for the diagnosis of various lesions of the tympanic membrane and can be used in optical-endoscopic diagnostics for a more accurate diagnosis in otorhinolaryngology, to determine the size of pathological formations, perforation of the tympanic membrane and foreign bodies. The device for measuring the size of the tympanic membrane perforation consists of a transparent silicone plate, on the surface of which there are marks with a distance of 1 mm and a suture fixed to the plate, for removing it from the external auditory canal after measurement. The size of the plate corresponds to the minimum diameter of the external auditory canal in children from 4 mm in width and up to 8 mm in length.
EFFECT: invention allows measuring the size of the perforation of the tympanic membrane.
