FIELD: digital technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for providing an electronic device with an element of digital content. A set of data packets are obtained indicating the presence of a user group, containing one or several users, in coverage area. A profile parameter of each of one or several users of this user group is determined indicating characteristics of one or several users. The first combined user profile and the second combined user profile related to the user group are determined. Bidding is carried out by displaying the element of digital content in order to determine the element of digital content with the highest total price offer based on the first combined user profile and the second combined user profile, based on one or several profile parameters of the user group and a set of advertising campaign parameters. The element of digital content determined in the result of bidding is sent to the electronic device for displaying.
EFFECT: ensuring the provision of relevant digital content.
