The method for protection against dangerous electrical potentials during the operation and repair of the contact network is that the operating voltage in the contact network is removed and measures are taken against its erroneous supply to the place of work, the absence of voltage is checked and grounding, shunt rods or jumpers are applied, disconnectors are switched on. At the same time, a digital model of the contact network is created with an array of actual coordinates and heights of power supply devices, which is installed at the automated workplace of the energy dispatcher and on protective devices worn by electrical personnel during work. Wearable protective devices with a digital model of the contact network using the GLONASS/GPS navigation systems determine the coordinates of the location of personnel, which are compared with the array of spatial data of the digital model of the contact network and are transmitted to the automated workstation of the energy dispatcher. At the moment an employee is in the danger zone, this employee and the energy dispatcher are instantly notified about the hazardous production factor.
