FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of working with parts of the bandwidth (BWP) in a wireless communication network. The active BWP from the mentioned one or more BWPs for the control channel of the downlink are monitored. A reset event is detected that initiates the reset of the MAC object in the wireless device. As a reaction to the detection of a reset event, the active BWP is switched to a predefined default BWP from the mentioned one or more BWPs.
EFFECT: ensuring that the network quickly and efficiently communicates with the UE after resetting the Media Access Control (MAC).
