FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the inactivation of xenoantigens in biological tissues. The method for inactivating the alpha-Gal antigen in biological tissues contains the following steps: creating a solution based on caffeic acid, tannic acid and/or hydroxytyrosol to inactivate at least part of the alpha-Gal antigen from the mentioned tissues; incubating the mentioned tissues in a solution created at the above-mentioned stage, with stirring and at a temperature of 40±2°C; subjecting the treated tissues to at least one washing. The connective tissue in which the alpha-Gal antigen is inactivated, the use of connective tissue for the manufacture of bioprosthetic substitutes and/or parts of bioprosthetic substitutes that are already prepared, and a set for implementing a method for inactivating the alpha-Gal antigen in biological tissues are also disclosed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a method for the inactivation of xenoantigens in biological tissues, which can be applied to connective tissues that are native and/or fixed, alien or homologous, which can be used for the manufacture of bioprosthetic substitutes for use in the clinical practice of treating humans and animals.
