FIELD: treatment of gases.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for purification of gas emissions from low-concentration sulphur dioxide (SO2) in manufacture of asmol products with subsequent disposal of the spent adsorbent usable for acidification of soils, i.e. with production of a marketable product. The method for purifying gases from sulphur dioxide in manufacture of asmol products involves passage thereof through a layer of an adsorbent consisting of wood processing industrial waste - chips, wherein the amount of sulphur dioxide is preliminarily measured in the emissions, and the process of purification is executed at the consumption rate of chips to sulphur dioxide in a weight ratio of 4÷6:1, followed by disposing the spent chips for use in agriculture as a soil acidifier.

EFFECT: creating a method for purification of gas emissions from low-concentration sulphur dioxide usable in manufacture of asmol products.
