SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A method for cleaning bacterial cellulose is proposed, which includes the removal of bacterial cells and components of the culture medium by treatment in a solution of potassium permanganate with a concentration of 0.1-10.0% at 90°C for 5-30 minutes, followed by washing with a solution of oxalic acid and water until a neutral reaction to the acid.
EFFECT: invention provides an expansion of the arsenal of methods for cleaning bacterial cellulose with a reduction in the duration of the cleaning process.
